Fights at the Ravine….

Anyone else tired of the fights at Dodger stadium every time we play a rival team, like the Angels, Padres, or Giants?

At last Friday’s game, I saw four Dodger fans tell an Angel fan to get out of his seat so that they could sit there. I also saw a Dodger fan pummeling the head of an Angel fan as he lay on the ground. And I saw a Dodger fan in the face of a police officer. It is sad because most Dodger fans are peaceful. They cheer for their team. They even boo at the opposing team and their fans. That’s part of the fun. Only a few of them bully and pick fights.

McCourt is not going to do anything until we do something. And calling that guest relations number is not the answer. We have to show McCourt that we love this team so much that we are not going to take it anymore. I am not sure what he needs to do — hiring more security, banning offenders from the ballpark, arresting and sticking them in holding tanks, restricting alcohol sales — but we pay enough for tickets, parking, food, beverages, and memorabilia to come up with the answer ourselves.

I am not buying season tickets next year. It is just too dangerous for my family and me to go to a game. I invite all of you to do the same.

And I invite McCourt and his family to sit in the pavillion or reserve level seats and see if they can enjoy the game without having to turn their heads.
